two-week pay period
Biweekly Time Card Calculator
Overtime is counted per workweek, never across the whole pay period: 50 hours in week one and 30 in week two is 10 hours of overtime, not zero. This biweekly calculator splits the weeks for you.

Is overtime calculated over two weeks?
No. Federal law looks at each 7-day workweek separately. You can't average 50 and 30 hours to 40; the 10 extra hours in the first week are overtime.
How many hours is a full-time biweekly pay period?
80 hours (40 per week). Anything over 40 in either week is overtime for non-exempt employees.
How do I calculate biweekly pay?
Multiply regular hours by your rate and overtime hours by 1.5× your rate, then add them. Enter an hourly rate above to see gross pay.
